Playing Above my Home in Pinewood
I am lucky that my neighborhood has an open swath of land that is national forest access. In my previous blog, I wrote about our adventures up at the top of a lovely foothill that affords you a great workout. Switchback after switchback takes you up to a plateau with deep, dizzying drops and panoramic views of the plains all the way to DIA. Just the week before, my neighbor Julia and I broke fresh ground and sank deeply into new snow drifts. This weekend, the four of us (Sharon, Barb, Connie and me), ran into dry patches and laughed at the stubborn cacti that refuse to stay covered. So enjoy these pics and the unintentional advertisement for MSR snowshoes! These are the winter days when I actually (bite my tongue) wish that winter would stick around just a little longer.
